Domain names are a service provided generally on an annual renewal basis, they're fundamental components of the internet as we know it today, connecting names, to the underlying addresses host servers reside at.

There are now over 500 different Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs), so it can be very hard to decide what domain to go with, or what domains even exist, and managing these domains can quickly become very expensive.

In addition to the expense and time of managing the domains, you need to be aware of a myriad of security considerations; Have you ever received letters or emails telling you that your domain is expiring and they need to be renewed, but they don't look quite right? They're known as renewal scams, and they're as prevalent now as they were quite some time ago.
